2024 was a successful year for RFmondial’s achievements in DECT NR+. The DECT NR+ evaluation board was developed within the publicly funded MERCI project and it was used for creating a variety of demonstrators and for evaluating the technological limits of DECT NR+.
RFmondial’s field proven DAB measurement and monitoring receiver RF-DAB has recently received a major update, adding valuable functionality to the device.
For IBC 2024 RFmondial is introducing its broadcast DAB modulator / exciter LV5e module, which is designed for enabling transmitter manufacturers to enter the DAB broadcast market or for providing existing manufacturers an alternative source for their production. The LV5e is an OEM fully digital broadcast exciter, which can be easily integrated into existing transmitter designs.

During the first public workshop of the Franco-German research project MERCI ("MERCI stands for “Media and Event Production via Resilient Communication on IoT Infrastructure”) several DECT NR+ demonstrators were supported by RFmondial’s technology.
In late 2023 RFmondial got the task to replace a malfunctioning Transradio DMOD3, which was feeding a Continental Electronics short-wave transmitter located at Kajang site. This traditional Malaysian site can be heard since the 1970’s all around the world and it stands out with its massive antenna masts located south of Kuala Lumpur.
