RFmondial supported the US Coast Guard in conducting a year-long field test of the DRM system in Alaska to investigate how a single transmitter can provide coverage for the arctic. The field test demonstrated that DRM is capable of transmitting maritime and navigation safety information over a wide geographical area.
The Johannesburg community station WECODEC (Westbury Community Development Centre Trust), with support from the BBC World Service and Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits initiated a trial broadcast project to evaluate DRM Digital Radio Mondial in the VHF Bands (also known as DRM+) between March and October 2017.
The DRM consortium, in collaboration with BECIL, hosted a high level round table meeting in New Delhi on January 31st, to which Dr. Jens Schroeder / RFmondial participated, too. The event was inaugurated by the Honourable Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, the India Minister for Information and Broadcasting.
The Digital Radio Mondial (DRM) Consortium and the German DRM Platform held a most comprehensive European workshop hosted by Fraunhofer IIS in Erlangen, Germany from 6th to 7th April 2016.
RFmondial's monitoring receiver RF-SE was used to receveive DRM Simulcast at RRI trial in Indonesia.
RFmondial's products are well placed in Fraunhofer IIS video, which has been taken during IBC 2015 in Amsterdam.
