The research project AI4Mobile has successfully come to an end

The research project AI4Mobile (AI-supported mobile communication systems for mobility in industry and transport) has successfully come to an end. The project was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with 5.1 million euros as part of the German federal government's high-tech strategy in the field of "Artificial Intelligence in Communication Networks". In order to modernize mobile communications systems and networks for future use, AI4Mobile focused on the development of innovative artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.

Within the project RFmondial in association with other companies has taken on the development of a reliable infrastructure for measurement data as well as the recording and pre-processing of training data. An extract of the measurement campaigns using two wireless technologies, namely Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and the new 5G standard DECT-2020 NR+, can be found here (link to attached poster).

Besides RFmondial GmbH, the following partners were involved in the project: BMW AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, Enway GmbH, Ericsson GmbH, Götting KG, Fraunhofer HHI, TU Dresden (Vodafone Chair for Mobile Radio Systems and Deutsche Telekom Chair for Communication Networks), RPTU Kaiserslautern (Chair for Radio Communication and Navigation).

The over 30 publications produced in the context of AI4Mobile are listed here.
